NFL High Crown 59 Fifty Hats, 47 Low Crown Big / Small Heads, Fitted

59fifty (or 59 50) and ’47 hats are both very popular, but what is the difference?  Each are great hats, but many men and women prefer one over the other..  Do you know the difference between low crown and high crown NFL hats?  Which do you prefer?  Do you have big head?  A small head?  You will need to ask yourself these questions before you decide which hat is right for you.  Personally, I have a large head and don’t like the low crown hats because they fit too high on my head and well,,,,  make my head look even bigger?  A high crown hat you can pull down over your forehead and it minimizes the look of your head.  The high crown hats also look better (in my opinion) if you like to wear your hats backwards. The high crown 59fifty hats come as a flat brim, but since I don’t like flat brims I bend them to my liking.  47 hats are have a curved bill but may not be the best option for those guys with large heads!

What Is A 59FIFTY hat?

The 59/50 hat is a model that is made by New Era Company.  They are always “Fitted” hats as opposed to flex fit or adjustable caps.  They are the official on field caps for MLB and they are the official sideline hats for the NFL.  They are also available for the NBA and NHL but are not considered their “official” hats.
